Worldwide Marriage Encounter’s Mission of renewal in the church and change in the world is to assist couples and priests to live fully intimate and responsible relationships by providing them with a Catholic “experience” and ongoing community support for such a lifestyle.
This site is dedicated to the promotion and continuation of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement in the Portland, Oregon area and Southern Washington.
In addition to the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekends, this community provides activities for couples who have already beenEncountered including community nights, dinner dances and other activities designed to promote and strengthen the sacrament of marriage.
The Columbia Marriage Encounter Community sponsors an Enrichment called BCTR (Building Community Through Relationship) for any couple or religious who has previously attended a WWME Weekend.
This 1-1/2 day workshop gives attendees valuable insights, skills and support to live out our sacramental call within our communities and our Church.
It is also a great time to get together with Marrriage Encounter Family.
